Terms of Use

Last updated: 17 May 2026

By creating an account or using MockLabs, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the service.

1. What MockLabs is

MockLabs is an AI-powered interview practice platform. It generates questions, evaluates your answers, and tracks your progress across topics. The AI feedback is produced by large language models and may be wrong, misleading, or out of date. It is for practice and self-study only and is not professional career advice.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account, or the minimum age of digital consent in your country if higher. By signing up you confirm you meet this requirement.

3. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for any activity on your account. Tell us immediately at security@mocklabs.ai if you suspect unauthorised access.

You may only hold one account. Don't share your login.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Submit input intended to extract, override, or manipulate the AI's instructions (jailbreaking)
  • Use the service to generate, evaluate, or store content unrelated to interview practice
  • Attempt to scrape, mirror, or systematically download MockLabs content
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to access the source code
  • Use the service to harass, defame, or otherwise harm another person
  • Interfere with the normal operation of the service (e.g. by overloading our servers or evading rate limits)
  • Resell access to your account or to the service

We use automated and manual review to detect off-topic or abusive use. Five off-topic strikes within a single session ends that session. Ten lifetime strikes locks your account, in which case access can be restored only by emailing us.

5. AI output disclaimer

The AI's questions, hints, evaluations, and scores are generated outputs. They:

  • Are not authored or reviewed by a human before delivery
  • Do not constitute professional, legal, medical, financial, or career advice
  • Should be cross-checked against authoritative sources before use in a real interview or work setting

Decisions you make based on the AI's output are your own responsibility.

6. Your content

You retain ownership of the questions and answers you submit. By using the service, you grant MockLabs a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to process that content for the sole purpose of operating the service (e.g. sending it to OpenAI to generate a response). We do not use your content to train models, sell it, or share it beyond what the privacy policy describes.

7. Intellectual property

The MockLabs platform — its code, UI, curriculum structure, prompt designs, and brand — is the intellectual property of Sofia Gilardini and is protected by copyright. These terms do not transfer any ownership.

8. Availability and changes

MockLabs is in early access. We may change features, restrict access, take the service offline for maintenance, or shut it down with reasonable notice. Where you've paid for a service we no longer offer, we'll refund the unused portion.

9. Termination

You can delete your account at any time from your settings, or by emailing privacy@mocklabs.ai.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these terms, if your account is dormant for 24 months, or if continuing to provide service to you would expose us to legal or operational risk.

10. Disclaimers

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy of AI output, and non-infringement.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MockLabs (and Sofia Gilardini personally) is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, data, or opportunity, arising from your use of the service.

Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these terms or the service is limited to the greater of (a) the fees you've paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) £50.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be limited under UK law.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.

13. Changes

If we change these terms materially, we'll email you at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the service after the change means you accept the new terms.
